Hi, I have a quick question regarding a finishing path. Let's say that I did a rough pocket on a cavity and left 0.1mm for the finishing pass. For the sidewalls I just do a finish contour path and that is taken care of, but what is the best toolpath to use to face the flat sections? Should I proceed in this manner, or just have the finish option in my roughing tool path complete the inside cavity? Thanks for the help, Sebastian |

| The pocketing dialog has several options to control the finishing. Or you can have MC create 'additional finishing operations' when you create the pocketing toolpath so you can have a whole other operation to tweak.

| Toolpath - Surface - Finish - Shallow. You can specify the floor angle as a range ( 0° - 14° ). If it's truly flat you can also do a Toolpath - Pocket and just select the geometry at the base of the floor. Mike Mattera
