    MCX training software

Is there a training software or student verision of MCX? I habe seen one book in Borders with software, but you can not save the files. I will be doing almost all of my training at home, so i would like to be able to save my files. I do not need to post or print any files.

    Thanks, Bill

Thanks for the info, I like what I see, but without having a student version will it work or is this a complete training package? I will be sending email to find out. I know of some cad pacakages that have student versions, that where you cannot plot or post your files. I will email mastercam and see if they have something like that.

    Thanks, Bill

The link I gave you is just a tutorial vid, not the program itself.

I have no idea on the student version. You'd need to contact CNC software and find out.

There is what we call an Apprenticeship Program it costs and only can had while taking a Mastercam class at a school that offers the Apprenticeship Program.
This is at this time a full working seat of Mastercam on a timed seat.

I have been teaching at two different schools in Cali for over 5 years and had brought this to my students and the schools.
Mastercam has an Education Division that makes the rules for this.
You can find the education division on the Mastercam site. www.mastercam.com

You will also find that there is also option later to get certified.
I am a Certified Mastercam Instructor at this time.

The Tips For Manufacturing CD's will also work with a Demo Disk for most, if not all functions.

    Design is $2K

    Design LT is $200

Design LT has no surface creation. No upgrade capability. No add-on's (can't add Solids). It's just pure 3D wireframe. It reads all the standard Cad formats SWorks, Inventor, Iges, DWG, DXF.

It's a super deal for $200. As long as your not trying to design with surfaces.
