    Operation requires planar chainset

    Hello
I have some geometry that I'm trying to do a sweep on and I keep getting this message. I'm new to this and I don't know how to take a screen shot to show the geometry. Any help would be appreciated.

Try Sceen > Copy Image to Clipboard. Then open Wiindows Paint and press ctrl + v to paste. Save the file. Attach it to your post.

An option is save your MasterCam geometry as DXF and upload that.

Thanks for the reply TXCNCMAN. I'm using X3 and I'd like to be able to make it a solid if possible.

Use 3D to select entities that do not lie in the work plane.

Which entities don't lie in the work plane? Can you make it work on your computer?

Do you know how planes work? Cplane? Tplane? WCS? Gview? Have you consulted the MasterCam help file?

I think you misunderstand what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to do one continuous sweep from the D looking blue bit to the triangular blue bit following the white path.

You did not ask someone to do your work for you. You were asking about the error message you were getting. I gave you the reason for the error and how to overcome it.

If you are having another problem now, show what you have done to attempt to solve the problem and ask for additional help.

I do not think you will be able to successfully morph one shape into another. They do not have the same number of segments.
