    Unhappy X4 help Please

MasterCam x4 does anyone know how to translate geometry to an axis, line or plane? We receivefiles from our customer and the part is shown the way it sits in the fianal assembly. We have to take this part file and lay it flat in X and Y. We have not found a quick and easy way to translate the part to lay flat in X and Y

    Thanks in advance
    Joerg

Have you ever used Dynamic WCS to move it relative from the original view or use Dynamic Xform to move the part to were you want?
I really should ask have you ever used the WCS tools?

In X3, WCS > WCS by Normal and choose a line you would like to have as the Z axis. If there is not line you wish as the Z axis, construct one on a new Level. Also WCS > WCS by Geometry will work.

I always resist Xform > Translate because this breaks the traceability. Creating a new WSC with the orientation you want does not.

so that helped good. now you can put the file the same way it came in by putting the WCS back to the TOP in the View Manager.
So you were able to view the video ok?
