Look under System Configuration > Shading
Hi. I am wondering how to get an STL file to shade or look solid once you open it up in MX5. When I save a solid as an STL then open it, I cant make it translucent or a solid color. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I apologize. I misread the original question. You cannot effect shading on STL. STL is stereo-lithography file, not a solid. MasterCam only does shading on solids such as STP.

PS I forgot to change the collor like I did on this STL I right clicked on color and put a window around the part and selected the new color. and now it is orange now.
