    3d toolpath ?

    Hello everyone

    i am trying to make my tool following the spiral that i have made ...
    and its not following ...
    i tought that i could draw the spiral in 3d and the toolpath would follow the line by itself...
    it did not work ... what am i doing wrong ?

    Well I'm not at work right now but from the top of my head, the first thing I see wrong is your trying to do a 3D contour but you kept your contour toolpath defined as a 2D cut.

    Just go to your toolpath parameters, then to the next bracket after your holder definition I think the 4th from the top down (sorry, I can't remember the actual name) and on the top right hand there will be a a drop down menu. It should read 2D right now as that's what I see on your pics. Change that to 3D.

    After this go to your Linking parameters and set your depth value to 0 incremental. Sometimes you have to define your depth as incremental before you change your cut to 3D mode.

    That should do the trick.

    MMTZ got it right.. your using 2D contur..

    Go to the Parameters > Cut Parameters and under contur type use 3D.

    That was it ... the 2d contour
    i had just to put 3d contour .. and it was ok
