Difficult to tell exactly what you are attempting to do. Did you set the area in question as a check surface?
I am machine a part that i am having so problems with the surface flowline in terms of a boundary. can some help me fix this problem???

that is what i am having problem with. How do i set the containment area so the tool doesn't go beyond that edge???
not related to his question but i took a quick look at his program. i am not sure why he wants to use 2d contour and only step down .010. not sure how the undercut is going to be handled on the spoon handle. noticed retracts are also very high on some of the tool paths. since his file is an x5 file wondered why optirough and rest roughing are not being used.
In the Operation Manager for that Toolpath > Geometry, select the surface you do not want the tool to touch as a Check Surface. In the Toolpath Parameters, put some value in greater than zero for the amount to leave on check surface.
your tool is doing exactly what you tell it to do. the center of the ball ends up at the transition point between the two surfaces. set the step and wall as check surfaces and come back later with a small ball or bull mill and finish that area off.
If you can ENVISION it I can make it
On Toolbar on Solid Selection should be a blue check mark, click it to turn solid selection on and then only enable face, not entire solid.
PS flowline does not support tool boundrys now you could of marked that edge surface as a check surface in the flowline options to keep the tool from touching there.

Okay i managed to set up the check surfaces, but how can i now created the fillet edge in this picture. What is the best toolpath to use for this operation???
If you have a ball mill of correct size, use contour. If not, surface parallel.
Thanks for your post. I would like to ask you some more questions for fine tuning, but do you have Soildworks 2011??? My e-mail is cloverfield333@yahoo.com.
i have 2012 why is this needed?

The part was designed in Solidworks 2011. I would like to talk about machining the complete part, in which i have a fixture design (for doing the other side of the spoon) that i want to talk to someone about to see if the design is good enough to hold the spoon (this fixture is also designed in Solidworks 2011).Also i would like to discuss how to setup up the other side of the spoon for machining it on the fixture, which i have made an assembly of the Spoon and fixture in Solidworks 2011 in Mastercam X5.
So why not bring the fixture on a different level to MC.
Like simple part in my picture.

I do not know how to do that. Do you have an e-mail i can send you my spoon files and fixture to you so you can see what i am trying to do???

agree. focus should be on best way to make the part, how to handle the undercut, way to handle square corners, how to cut his very long cycle time. x5 is what he is using so why not make use of optirough? i think surface high speed rest roughing would also be a good toolpath selection. Do you think surface high speed scallop would be a good finishing strategy?
CLover I sent you an email.
