In Operations Manager > Tool Settings, you can check the box to assign tool numbers sequentially.

Which one does not work? If you are referencing Operations Manager > Tool Settings, you can check the box to assign tool numbers sequentially, it will not change tool numbers after the fact.

There is also a setting in the control definition which adds to the tool number. Make sure these are set to 0.

MG that is not the same thing. as this helps to force the tools to have the same T, H and D values the same.
the settings they are talking about makes so when you pick a tool no matter what tool number it is in the tool libary that will make the first tools #1 and the next #2 for example.

How does one get this to stick as the default?
I know it's possible, because my system used to do it.
But after a re-install, it no longer does, and I can't find the option to make it stick...

    Mastercam X5 BTW...
