C axis contour on Mazak programming

Hello there, I'm having trouble selecting/programming in the contour that I want to complete with the live tooling on the Mazak SQT 10MS that I have access to. I have never programmed something using the live tooling on this machine. and it is causing me quite a bit of trouble.

This is the part I'm trying to turn, with the C axis being cut with a 1/2" endmill upon the curved contour with the thru hole.

Currently I'm trying "C Axis Contour", and selecting the edge of the contour itself. It keeps throwing me "zero length line" errors (an infinite amount of them).

I've tried rotating the part 90 degrees but it didn't do anything. Should I be using a higher level lathe toolpath?

Any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Does your machine have a Y axis ?

If you do NOT have a Y-axis, you will only be able to machine the flats on the top and bottom of the bore, and drill / ream / tap any holes that go through the center line axis of the part. You will find it difficult to make the machine do an interpolation in the bore
