even when using the right graphics card i have this problem from time to time. problem disappears when i close and restart mastercam. i have found you have to get use to the graphics problems in mastercam as they do not seem to want to fix them so you have to learn to live with them.

Well I will say BS and this is your opinion as I do not have these issues on my desktop or my laptop and it is because i by what is needed.
Now in my class room I do come across this issue and this has to do with the network state with the collage freezing the systems so not everything takes like it should. But I do not have these problems ever with my work office desktop or my home office desktop and my programming laptop.

Cob, can you give us the details on the computer.

we use nvidia quadro cards and the latest drivers. you may say it is b.s. but there is no way mastercam has quality graphics like solidworks. your opinion is biased heavily and not based in reality.

Wow really, well I do agree that the SW has better graphics. and yes I do have some biased opinion I agree. I never say or I ever stated that MC in the best. but I have said it is a good software and I have made a great living with it and I know the software.

I will say you do make me question who you really are and I am sorry about that.
I hope this does not turn out to be another Neal jones.

    Have a great day

i do not care what you question about me and it is not relevant to this thread or the legitimate problems this guy is experiencing. lets try and keep it real here. mastercam has graphics problems no matter how high quality video card and how good the drivers are. i have better things to do than go back and forth with you over this. i am just trying to let the original poster know the truth and what he has to accept about mastercam. you can fix a lot with the right card and good drivers but you can never get the graphics in mastercam to be really good. if neal jones was someone who also called you out on this i say good for neil jones.

what kind of video card is in your laptop? the first thing i do when i suspect video card or driver problem is go into mastercam configuration, screen setting and turn off hardware acceleration. if that fixes the problem you have a video card or video card driver problem.

ok this does help. What type of laptop brand and model will help figure some of what you have. to get some info you need to click on my computer and right click on Properties this will give the the computer info like what Processor and which windows version you are running.

Neil Jones is actually not real person but someone who said they were this name when they were another person.
