    Mirror toolpath

I have two parts that have to be machined and they are mirror image to each other. So, I toolpathed the left side one and it worked fine. Then I use mirror function to mirror the solid and the geometry lines to the right side and regenerate my toolpath. Then here comes the issues. I had a whole bunch of collisions on the right side part. I couldn't figure out why it caused that or I just did the improper way to mirror my toolpath? Can any one help please?

    Thanks!

As i've been told, when you mirror the part it also mirrors the tool paths so they are all reversed. you can reverse the chains but you are better off just mirroring the geometry and re-picking the chains. it's something mastercam could use some improvement on.

think this has been fixed in newer versions of mastercam. believe when you mirror mastercam now automatically changes start points so you don't have to repick chains and you do not go from climb to conventional like you use to in older versions.

Sorry man! For a stupid reason, that one was overwritten by another file, so I lost it.

    MR2 Mirror Toolpath.swf
Thanks for ur video! Now I know why I had issues. I just simply mirrored the geometry and regenerated toolpath instead of using toolpath transform function. That's why I screw up.

    Thanks for ur help guys!
