    Can you import another part?

Ive been working on this project, and it has 10 different parts to it.
What I'm wondering is, could I import another part of this assembly to a different level. This would be a very good time saver, cause I wanted to use the exact same tools and tool numbers for every part. So my operator wouldn't have to change tools. And I wouldn't have to reference back to another program to match up the tools and tool numbers.
If you cant import to another level, whats the best way to keep the same tools and tool numbers.
If not, I could always go back to making my pocket numbers in the machine a certain tool.
Just wondering how to save some time.

Yes, you can use separate layers but this can get confusing. One other method is to export your operation in the OPERATIONS MANAGER. Then in the next program you are working on, these operations are available to import, bringing the tools and their settings with them.

    I love using levels/layers.

You can also build a custom tool library and use that for selecting your tools for each job.

A good suggestion is to select that MCX file as your "Tool library" to bring in current set tooling into the new MCX file

You can read the tools from another MCX file
    or
use the IMPORT functon ( R-Click in Op manager) to bring in the operations used in another MCX file and it will also bring in the tools that were used

to bring Ops from other MCX files
in Op manager, Right mouse click, select IMPORT, target the actual directory the MCX file is in ( and accept ), it goes back to the IMPORT dialog box, the scroll window should list all the MCX files in that directory, so select the MCX file that holds the desired operations you need, it will show a mini "op manager" for you to un/check available files & other functions ( ie, bring in additional wireframe associated with the checked operations )

to bring in the tools from a previous MCX file ( 2 methods)
1/---select "files" in the op manager machine section
    - go to the tool library and target the previous MCX file ( change the search filter from .TOOL-5 to MCX-5 )
    - now open the tool manager select all the tools in the lower window, hit the upper arrow on the right hand side to copy them to the active machine.
2/--- when defining tools, r-click in the tools window, select "tool manager..." and target your desired directory / file
