Why don't you just rotate the part after you import it into MasterCam?
Hey guys,
Really could use some help here. So I'm trying to import a step file and generate a turn profile. Unfortunately the file is designed such that the z axis is defined as the length of the part.
When defining the stock in MasterCAM, the default is to put the length along the x-axis. So basically the stock and the part are perpendicular rather than parallel. I have tried all day to re-orient the part in my CAD program, but can't figure out a way.
Is there anyway to change the default stock axis is MasterCAM?
Thanks!

I tried that, but it just rotates the part about the z axis. I can't seem to find a way to rotate about the x axis.
have you tried rotating from the Right side plane? or share the MC file and I can tell you how after I see how it sits.
