Updating MC post, along with machine and control files

I have a question about updating the MC post for a machine from X5 to X6. What I was wondering is.....Do I need to update the .mmd and .rmd files along with the .cmd files for our machines since they are not in the X6 library? If so how do I do that? I sucessfully updated the posts for our machines.

If your X5 were customized for your application, then you will need to update them.

So how do I do that? Can I just copy the files from X5 over to the X6 folder? I've already updated my posts fo our machines. Typically we have just been getting the files from our machine tool dealers. But are now being pointed towards updating them ourselves.

I have never done this, but if I recall correctly from other posts here on CNCzone, yes, you can just copy the files over. Be sure to get them in the correct directories.
