Why V9? Is that all your employer owns? I ask because if you can...get a copy of student X5 or X6.
Since you are pretty much re-learning the software you may as well learn a current version of it.
I haven't had to do a whole lot of programming with mastercam for a good 6-7 yrs. The only V9 manual I did have from college I loaned to a coworker a fews years back who lost it.
Please, someone tell me there is a link out there to kinda refresh my ever numbing brain cells. a short refresher or anything.
I have a student version on my laptop and need to start practicing. I can't afford to spend another 80 bucks. I cant find any books at the library either.
Importing and converting files and using layers are fuzzy at best. And going from surfaces to solids forget it. I still remember a lot about creating tool paths and chaining but its just not clicking back . Please .......h.e.l.p. m.e.....![]()

Duelly noted thank you. No they have X but is it that much different from 9? I already have a working version on my laptop.
When Mastercam went from 9 to x they changed the entire UI but when you get down to it everything is still done in about the same way its just the buttons you click are in different locations.
Thats kinda what I figured.
Want to thank everyone who has replied to my call to arms in this situation.
And its nice to know that there are still people out there who look at things the way I do. Hope I can return the favor someday.
If you have any direct questions with V9 I am still an active user of it and too stubborn to upgrade.
