Using tool comp when using VMC as lathe

Hi, have some small wheel to turn for bender roller.

Would like to know if there's a way to use tool comp when doing this.

Lathe tool is clamped in the vise and have to do a concave radius on the part that is clamped in a 1in tool holder in the spindle.

X 0.000 is the center line on the wheel

Is using lathe setup in Mastercam the best way to do it.

I've done that a couple of time using point to point programming but finish is not that good depending on the number of points I have.

    Thanks for any help.

You will need to program with G18 and using wear compensation I think.

    Thanks txccncman.

So I should use front plane and add a G18

    Use contour 3D with G18

Could you give me some hints on how to start.

    Thanks for your time, Jeff

I have never attempted this before. I would think you will have to use a lathe as your machine type and then manually edit the G-code after posting, unless you can find someone to help that does this type of thing in MasterCam and already has it all tricked out and they are willing to share. Realize, when you run the code, it will seem backward since the part will be moving along Z and not the tool. If I have time this evening to mess with it, I will post the results here. If not, then you are on your own until I can get back to it or someone else steps in to help.

I've done it a couple of time (manually edit the code and doing point to point programming using Mastercam)

I draw the path I want to tool to follow like in the picture
