    Dynamic Milling Buries Tool

    Hi All,
Well our shop just got MCX5, mostly to take advantage of Dynamic milling functions. For trochoidal paths we'd been using the Volumill add-on that came with Bobcad 22. Like MCX, the high speed paths do trochoidal paths, but would sometimes bury the tool full width, primarily when the path comes out the other side of a constriction. Given that we are feeding full depth, really fast, in 6-4 ti at 110% or less cutter width, this equals very expensive endmill dying immediately. Ugh. This seems to happen if there are 2 or more posts on part and the algorithm gets confused what has and hasn't already been cut. Ayone else have this problem or a solution? I am attaching file if you want to check it out (op1). You have to look very closely to see when it does the full width bury, but it is there.
    Thanks as always,
    Jeff

sir i want to help but your file cannot be read in our mastercam x4,i suggest to resend it again for further info, did you try to slow down the cutting of your machine like spindle rate, and feedrate, this can slow down the cutting of your workpiece.Try to change the g codes or edit it.hope it will help.

On your last operation your geometry have 4 chains, you need to delete last 3.

    Smile Dynamic paths OK

    HI All,
On closer inspection in "Verify" I was able to see generated paths were NOT burying tool and in fact, appear good. It's not obvious looking at trochoidal toolpaths alone what has and has not already been cut. I'm just paranoid because we are starting to use some pretty pricey, high speed machining specific endmills. If the paths aren't perfect (and they are so complex they are hard to check) the tool breaks immediately.
That said.... if anyone has had any trouble with my original concern, I'd love to hear about it so I might avoid any issues.
    Thanks as always,
    Jeff
