    9.1 4th axis

    Hello!

I have been using mastercam 9.1 for about 4 months now. I feel very comfortable in 3 axis programming. I am going to start programming 4th axis very soon. I am looking for a good guide/tutorial. If anyone has a basic 4 axis program i'd love to see it, would greatly help the learning process!

    Thanks,

    -Grant

I suggest learning the X series of mastercam as MC V9 is really old and not supported anymore and you will have a hard time finding anyone teaching it. I know there are some 4th files on the Mastercam forum FTP under the MC9 folder. look while you can as I am thinking of pulling it soon.

    CADCAM,

Thanks for your quick response. Is the site your referring to emastercam.com? I searched under the "downloads" tab and did not find anything. As for mastercam X, we just purchased NX 8. Mastercam will be replaced once i feel comfortable with NX.

    Thanks,

    -Grant

Grant I was speaking of that site but I was talking about the FTP area on that site. Are you ready for the learning curve of NX and I thought we were at 7.5 of NX I will have to check at work on Tuesday. Welcome to a new year.

    CAD/CAM -

I finally found the ftp! Thanks for your help! (Happy new year)

We got NX8 64bit early November.

Am I ready for the learning curve of NX?? Is anyone really ever ready for anything??!! I'm like val kilmer in topgun. Ice cold... No mistakes..

Do you have much experience with the manufacturing portion of NX?

The rep told me that there is no stock tool path for chamfer in nx.... Is this true?

    Thanks again,

    -Grant
