Hey all, I have mastercam 9 installed on a new pc running windows 7. The software worked great on my old computer but on this new one I am having problems viewing geometry. I create a piece of geometry and I cant see it until I change the view to iso. My auto cursor doesn't work right either. When I chain geo I can only see the arrow for a split second. And in backplot I cant see my tool. So is it a setting in MC9? or something with the video card? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Version 9 is NOT suitable for any Window platforms above XP.
If you get it to work, great.
All Mastercam graphics issues rely on suitable graphics cards for CAD use ( Quadro FX cards seem to be common ) , gaming cards are in a different ballgame.
Site to check out your cards http://www.solidworks.com/sw/videocardtesting.html
The only area you could tweek is in the System Config under "Screen", play with the OpenGL & front buffers settings
OpenGL normally ON, Buffers ( mine is ON )
Mouse issues could be the type of mouse (ie the basic Microsoft versions ), or drivers needing updating. This does not always work, there are a lot of things that could effect a mouse
