| X5 definetely rocks...but, they dropped the gui version of the toolist maker. The default active designer setup sheets are awesome, except they are fat out of the box. Too fat to even use. It takes forever to generate setup sheets, and the data supplied is overwhelming...tooo much data. So I made a set of usable 3 axis milling sheets. There's instructions provided on where to put the files, or you can use the batch file supplied to copy the files. In a couple of weeks I'll post a good usable lathe set. These setup sheets will not overwrite or hurt existing setup sheets in any way, and they are rock solid, tested daily since 2 weeks after x5 went on sale. The files can be found here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/34947158/Fri...tup_sheets.rar |

| ****** It's fine, the file is on 3 forums and usenet with confirmed usage already. There's no executable, it a rar file with 4 setup sheet text files, a small text file with instructions, and a 4 line batch file that uses the copy command. It's safe. Ill upload it to this forum if that is safer for ya. |

what did I say ??? ![]() I haven't even opened the files yet ? PS...I use the term "GURU" very loosely I'm very reluctant to use "that site" any more, it's has too many one sided opinions. If you don't support the product - then you are the enemy & they all take pot-shots - in one instance there was a thread with approx 10 posts ( very recently ) regarding capabilities of the X5 HMLE v demo copies - had a little section about someone commenting that a HMLE copy was, probably, looks like etc that it may have been hacked ( to be able to post NC code ) - went back to re-read the differences & to put some of that other info up here - the whole thread has "disappeared" - they ( the "gurus" ) are very carefree in the way they throw around their "moderator" priviiges. So much for voicing an opinion on that site !! Last edited by Superman; 07-22-2011 at 10:14 PM. |
