Need Help!- DRILL CYCLE

I dont know if this is poss, but I want to drill a "stepped" hole with a can cycle. For example a .188 dia to -1.25 depth then a .09 dia to -3.0. I would like the drilling to start at a - value ie z-1.15, but rapid all the way out of the hole. Can it be done with out coding long hand?

I tried to get this to work on my particular machine control (Haas) but it wouldn't use a R value above the retract point. I had to make a macro to make it work....love to hear if there's another way!

I dont think you can make mastercam go above the r plane in rapid retract. It violates the general purpose of the r plane. However I would say if it is possible you may be able to tweak the post to get it to do what you want

Could you walk me thru the macro you made. I am also using Haas
