X5 MU1 center 4 square gone

I am searching a video tutorial for the X5 Mu1 version without any luck. The old version has 4 small square(grid) in the middle when you start up? Where did that go in X5 MU1?

Also, as a newbie, I found mastercam GUI cluttered and takes a little time to get used to. Do they have a X Y and delta-X, delta-Y in the corner so you can see when you move the cursor?

Also, we have a mori HMC, What does the MM-MD5 mean in the machine type? How do I tell it it is 3.5 axis machine, not a full 4 axis. Do I need to get a file for the specific machine, like what I have in ESPRIT?

thanks
XXF

Buy me a Beer?

Look-up the shortcut keys that are preset

The "GRID" has yet to be set viewable but not active, try [ALT-G] to bring up the dialog box

[F9] toggles the origin cross-hairs ON/OFF
[ALT-F9] toggles the axis icon in upper left corner ON/OFF
[ALT-T] toggles toolpath display

XYZ positions in lower left corner, goto System Config file, "Screen" tab, R/H side, play with these ( my settings for X2 are attached )

MM-MMD5 - MM=metric, MMD=Milling Machine Definition, -5=Mastercam X5

Your Mori is a 4 axis machine with a positioning 4th axis only, settings for this is done inside the post processor file, ( look for the "rotary axis" section )

Thanks, superman.

Following the tutorial, my 3D verify does not seem to work. The screen does not show any new stuff. I can run the backplot without any problem. I wonder if I did anything wrong. or setting not correct.

Same config page,
look at the "Graphics support" settings

or at the settings on the verify page, maybe the "Use TrueSolid" check ON
