Does anyone use MasterCam for Solidworks? Is there any way to save as/open .MCX files? I would like to use MCXforSW but I need to have compatibility with the rest of the office.

I was told by a MC reseller standalone MC will open a MC for SW file, but not the other way around. I' don't believe you can save as .mcx in MC for SW, but not sure.

Solidworks is a great piece of 64 bit software with great support. Why would you want to infect it with a 32 bit piece of crap like Mastercam. Run away.

How compatible are you going to be with the rest of the office if Mastercam drags it's ass again like X2 and it takes almost two years for an update. Your going to have to hold back all Solidworks updates until they catch up again.
