    Iscar HEM

I just started playing around with X5's new Iscar HEM feature and it seems really beneficial. Can anyone tell me a rough price range on Iscar endmills compared to others like SGS or Accupro? Also, are there any brands out there that can still be utilized with the HEM option on MasterCam? I noticed there is a box fro RCTF only.

to get prices on the iscar tooling find your local rep and shoot them an email.as far as accupro the are fair at best,SGS are ok but i would pay the extra for iscar and always ask your dealer to try before you buy.this way u get the right tool for the job without shelling out cash on stuff that wont work.

I've used other brands with similar geometry... The Iscar endmills were the one that the toolpath techniques were designed for, but others are available with close to the same features. I use Imco endmills more often than the Iscar and they work pretty well on H13 and pre-hard 4140, very similar to the Iscars... I just have had to cross reference the Iscar part numbers to find the right one to select before programming for my Imco's.

Try GW Schults tools. SGW series preforms very well with mastercam. They can also create any tool you desire with in a few days. Great tool!
