| Call your dealer and they will sell you one.

The dealer sent a TNC 151 post but there are several variations of the !51 & the one I got outputs arc centers as incremental & my control needs absolute. It also won't output what my control needs for a peck cycle, outputs a G30 & G31 graphics which my control does not have, codes arcs at every quadrant instead of just the arc end. I can send what is posted & edit at the control but is a chore if the are many lines. Someone out there surely must have an old machine & Mastercam X with a post that works. At least I hope so.

You have to set up your Machine Definition and the Control to use the right "switches" to suit your machine to make permanent changes to the CONTROL file - "Settings" tab, select the "Machine Definition Manager", this opens a dialog box that has how/what your machine can do. -select the "Edit the Contol Definition" to open the CONTROL file, this opens another box, this is how your NC code is configured, arcs, tool libraries, canned cycles, tool numbering, sequence numbers, & so on. accept when backing out to save the changes

Thanks Superman, I got the arcs to locate centers absolute & not break at quadrants but I can't get the peck cycle to post what the control needs. N## G99 G83 P02 -.55 P01 .1 P03 -.1 P0540 should be: N## G83 P01 -.1 P02 -.55 P03 -.1 P04 0 P05 40 P01, P02, P03 are always neg. if the workpiece top is Z0 P04 is dwell & P05 is feed. If I send to the program to the control & then edit the G83 to look like this it will run the peck cycle.

There can be switches at the top of the post to turn ON/OFF certain features - or it may need to be customised - or you may be setting fields incorrectly within the session 1st thing,,, backup your post to another location, restore it, if you stuff up the actual post Open your current post with any ASCII editor, Cimco, Mastercam Editor, even notepad switches are found near the top after all the comments ( # = comments ) the post drilling section is over 1/2 way thru - search for the "canned cycles" or "Drilling" section and that will put you close do a bit of reading to understand post editing before doing anything, miss a comma or a $ and it can give $hit code. And do not do many changes without checking, take it in small steps.
