| Does anyone corner pick. The part is made out of D-2 tool steel. It is 14." o.d. 13.5 i.d. part with a 60 deg cutting knife blade on it. The blade is .100 high and .06 wide at the bottom. The top of the blade is .002/.003 finished width. I have to pick out 90 deg corners with a 60deg 3 flt burr that comes to a point. Any ideas..... I need help. I have a 14,000r.p.m. spindle to work with also... keith |

| is grinding a option? a 60º at that width is going to warp some with that type of tool. I would thing using an flat endmill and turning the 4th to the angle need would be best and lest tool pressue or even surfacing it with a small ball endmill like a 3/64. for example leave .010 stock and surface over the edge with a small good quality endmill. NOT length wise surface width wise down the length. Hope that makes sence. Delw |
