Verification graphics display problem

Has anyone encountered a problem with the verification graphics display particullarly in mastercam x5 for solidworks? The model with toolpaths appear normal in the standard solidworks graphics display, but when I toggle the verify button in the operations manager my model disappears unless I rotate the model in which case the model flickers on and off. Any suggestions before I reinstall? Thanks

Unfortunately in "Mastercam for Solidworks", unlike the real standalone MC, Screen option in Configuration does not exist.

Most likely it's an issue with MC's compatibility with your graphics chip or driver. Reinstalling MC may not solve the problem. Try updating or even going back to older graphics driver.

Thanks you two for the suggestions.

I have spent the last 2 hours uninstalling and installing new graphics drivers . Murphy was definitely present.

My situation is unique, I'm using Mcam for SW on a 32 bit virtual machine. My host machine is a 64 bit. After changing the graphics driver to solidworks recommended on the host machine, I then realized the virtual machine was still using a windows graphics driver. I unistalled and tried installing the same driver that was on the host machine but get an error message stating "no applicable hardware is found". I figured I would take a break and think about what I can do. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

Are you running a Mac with VMware or a windows base of VMware?
this will use the host to control the Graphics. This a hug resin not to do that for any Cad system.

A windows 7 based with microsoft virtual PC. I considered VMware but figured I'd give virtual pc a try. Does VMware have a better rep?

Why is it bad for CAD in a virtual machine to use the host graphics driver? When I look in device manager, dispaly adapters, propeties, driver details in the virtual PC the the driver provider is listed as microsoft, which is not the driver I'm using in the host. I've attached a scrren shot of the display adapter properties and driver details dialoge box from the virtual. Thanks for the help cadcam.

As you have just shown it is not using the native drivers and software for the video card,
it is using a Microsoft emulation of the video and not fully using the video card to hand all the video. I had tested this on the Mac side last year testing Solid Works as the base on boot-camp that use all the hardware direct in as you launch into Window or VMware that runs Windows as a virtual on top of Mac.

What type of computer and what is the Video card?

That being the case, I should be able to install any specific video driver on the virtual, or instruct the virtual to use the host nvidia driver, which might fix the verification graphics problem, correct?

Dell Precision m4500
Nvidia Quaddro FX 1800M
driver version 8.16.11.8921 (solidworks recommended)
