I would like to mill 3 spiral blades, 120 degree apart, which wraps around a 6 inch round stock material. For example, 36 lead, 1 inch wide, 0.3 inch deep from top OD. If I use contour or rolldie tool paths, I will get taper side walls. (bigger on top and smaller at root of blades). Technically centre of tool should be of centre on Y+ and Y- by width of blade and tool radius. How can I make these side walls are parallel (not toward part centre line)? |
