Why not use a pkt toolpath with the fins as bosses inside the pkt? Then use what you have done already as a "finish" cnt path.

Does it crash at a rapid move or a lead in/out? If at the rapid the change your retract hight. If at the lead in/out change length rad sweep ect.... You can control the lead in/out even at the pkt tool path finish prams.

Buy me a Beer?

Sounds like it is when it is loading the stock model

what stock have you defined for verify ?
are you defining a box, or using the actual solid model ?

Too fine a stock model can cause this to happen
-you could use a more basic solid as the stock
-to eliminate if this is the problem, use a box, and see if you can get to run the path
