Settings for creating geometry

I had to reload Mastercam X2 on a pc which is running Vista Home Premium. I have trouble resolving a couple of issues.

1) When creating geometry such as a rectangle, the geometry drawn doesn't display until I do a fit screen. Before I could just click on the screen for the first corner and drag the mouse to the second corner for the initial size. Then I would input the values for the final size of the rectangle. Also, before as I was dragging the cursor the rectangle shape would be visible until I stopped and clicked on the screen. What is the setting that turns this on?

2) Also, where is the setting for highlighting the entities that I am selecting for example translating or deleting?

Looks like I asked a stupid question or didn't word it correctly. Mastercam X2 runs fine on Vista because it ran on it before. Just probably one of those that a box isn't checked somwhere in the settings. I can't find anything that relates this issue in the Help menu or manual. Looks like I'll try unistall/install to see if that will fix the issue.

Access the system config
go to the "Screen" tab

-play with the "graphics support" area for the screen issues
- allow pre-Selection & Auto-highlight ----turn ON
