Hello all i cant figure out how to get this done, can someone please help ive got a special kind of t-slot that i need to cut but ive got to drop the cutter in a bore to begin cutting and go back to the bore to exit, and i cant see how to specify this start/exit position in mastercam any help would be appreciated thankyou |

| -Add a point before your contour that would be the drop-in point ( in the geometry tab of your operation ) - lead in/out parameters, check the "Use entry point" for the start ( drop in ), and "Use exit point ( for the retract position ) - Another point after the chained geometry, is the way to alter the retract position, if it has to be different to the drop-in point the added point is a good, quick method for extended lead ins to profilling contours that may have to go thru extra stock |
