Have you tried the MPMASTER post? I found that revision 11.1.0811 is actually pretty good right out of the box.

I did tweak mine for my preferences, but it was a good starting point and you can run programs right from it.

You can send your dealer a sample of what you want your programs to look like and they can get the post set up for you - or have IHS set it up. I just re-did my mill post and they helped me out for no charge.

Did you contact your dealer for help yet?

Not "a dealer"..."YOUR DEALER". Normally they will do this for no charge when you get the software. If you are a maintenance customer, then they will most likely help you - at least they have always helped me.

You can't just call any dealer...just like pretty much most of these cad or cam software companies. There will be one dealer per area and you are stuck (for better or worse) with them.

But like I said, if you are on maintenance, it shouldn't be an issue...or if you just purchased it also.

John, I'm in the states so my dealer won't be much help to you.

Sounds like you may be asking for trouble if you start changing the way they have things set up when they won't even allow you to contact the dealer.

I'd talk to your superiors and let them know your intentions and how it can better the company. Sell them on the idea that you can make the operation more efficient.

If you start with the post I mentioned earlier, though, you shouldn't have to edit stuff at the machine...at least I wouldn't think so on your 2 quite simple machines. It may not have the exact same look that you want, but the programs will be good.
