    help with blending

    I cant figure out how to blend the back contour to the heel on this banjo neck can anyone help?

    the shape you have is way to "blocky". i used to work for Deering Banjos and have much experience with designing banjos in Mastercam. you can only use solids to a point, then you must use surfaces to trim the solid to or just create the surfaces needed. for good surfaces, you need good wireframe.

    take a look a the pic below. every different color is a different surface. the edge curves needed are the perimeter fro each patch. then use the chook coons the generate the surface.

    where is the chook and coons located in the interface? I am just starting to understand solids and dont know how to create surfaces can you explain this in more detail please?

    too much to try and teach coons here. use the help menu. press alt+c to bring up chook directory and then find coonssurf.dll

    in the pic i posted, each patch is a surface.
