    MC learning curve?

I've been programming large format 5 axis routers since 1992 and have always used Surfcam as my CAM software. I semi retired a year and a half ago. I have been asked to do some contract programming for a large corp. but they use MasterCam. I'd like to know what kind of learning curve there would be.

    Thanks, Ted

Ted, if you are doing Surfcam figure 60-80 hours to get mastercam. The geometry section is very good, CAM section was strange at first but you can adapt.
It is doing the same things very differently.

Could you possibly know Larry Filley?
    Been doing this too long

Thanks for the info. I want to be able to give this customer a honest estimate of what I can do for them and the time involved.

I don't know Larry Filley but I'm sure we are related. I live in northern Indiana. Small world isn't it.
    Thanks again
