| You could try this model, I've made the chamfer. There's a new plane for that. You can modify the sketch as you like for the right chamfer dimension Just did a extrude cut, goto solid tab and regen with new selected sketch chamfer Hope this help and hope you'll be able to load with Mastercam Jeff |

| You will have to machine the chamfer from the top plane. If you make a plane from the geometry, you will have to place the guitar body at the same angle on the table, which is not an easy thing to do. You can machine the chamfer from the top by selecting the chamfer surface only and use a toolpath for it. You can draw geometries from chamfer and use as containment boundaries when machining. I just made some tool paths for you to analyze. They are not the best because they would needs some refinements. It is machined from the top plane. Look at level , made some modifications for the Stock setup to have the solid as stock. Made another level to have geometries for containment boundaries. Made surfaces from solid to be able to have check surfaces. Just used a .5 ball end mill, you can choose another. Changed the machining angle, just used something similar to the same angle as the chamfer, you can change it either to be parallel to the surface. Hope this help, Jeff. This all the time I have |
