I have mastercam 9 on my computer and i want to remove it. I have tried to unistall it using the computers unistall and using the disk and both times it starts to unistall and then it says its done but nothing has been removed. I don't know why it is doing this. can anyone tell me how to remove it? |

| After un-installing, the folder structure should remain as you would have files that you have created ie .MC9 files, posts, configs, tool libraries, and so on. open those folders and see if anything is in there ie .EXE files in the Mcam9 root directory or can mastercam still fire up and run when you click the icons |

| as for the files that do remain,..... why would you want to delete those, config files, the sessions you have created, custonised posts, converted data and so on, they involve additional hours of work, and they can be opened/upgraded into a later version, or needed for reference if you do someting similar again. If you really want to run away and wipe your hands completely of that or any software and have no more to do with it....select the software's root directory and push DELETE.....but that is the point of no return...it's gone ....IMO, I would archive those files for safe keeping, before deleting...just in case It would be like getting rid of MSword out of your PC, then deleteing all the .DOC files you created since year dot..be it your kids school projects, your work stuff, the wife's cooking recipies. There will come a time when you wish you did keep them, somewhere. |
