Need help machining simple part

Hi, I'm somewhat new to mastercam and trying to learn. I have exp. in alot of 2.5d cam software and rhinocam. however I'm trying to switch to mastercam do to what "seems" like faster production times due to the more in depth machining tech.. Either there is a huge learning curve or I'm just a little dumber then I thought

Anyways I have a very simple part i would like help on, Ive had several problems putting down the machine paths. If anyone could offer tips..

Ive attached the IGS obviously curves and what not need to be made.

You may want to ask some specific questions rather than very being so vague.

What version of Mastercam are you using?

How do you plan on machining this?

Do you even know how to create stock?

X4 level 3 milling.

My intention was to use a 2 flute 5/8 carbide to mill the base of the part and around the sloped region, i would then finish the slope with a 5/8 2 flute ball nose, and then drill the four holes. however when i tried to set up the first operation (5/8 endmill for the base.) i could not remove all the stock from the part (in corners of part where the tool rad.) I would like to just run the tool past the part to remove all stock.

I have added stock by just going to the machine > stock > bounding box

Also i created a solid around the part and setup a WCS and then put that solid as a hidden layer.

It's always good to see what you did. Post the Mastercam file so people can improve your process.

Alright I'll upload that tomorrow night when I get the chance. I didn't bother saving what I did, since it wasn't going to work, but it wont take much time to redo

I agree with Mike. It also will help people to get a better understanding of your skill level so that they can better help you.

Its hard to help someone when you dont have a clue what they need to know. ;P

I always love it when people post for a "simple" problem. I need a simple post change. I need help with a simple toolpath. There's obviously something about it that's not simple, or you wouldn't be here.

I'm going to get a simple brain surgery and than maybe my head will stop hurting :-)

Well in this guys case, he just said that he needed help with a simple part. He didnt say anything about about the problem being simple. And I have to agree.. this is a very simple part.

Apparently he must have figured it out for himself or does not care anymore.

Check the multi pass option. Put 3 in number of passes .25 at spacing and 1 in finish with .01 in spacing. It is this or create extra geometry to remove the excess stock. Play with the number of passes and spacing. Pretty simple.
