Mastercam x4 just crapped out on me!

It won't open any more on my computer the other day I was using it fine with no problems and then the next day it wouldn't open it flashes the X4 logo and then nothing happens I have tried to uninstall and re install tried to do a system recovery from back when it worked fine and I still can't get it to open.

maybe the usb stick is loose?

It is at the logo stage that Mastercam looks for the licence ( SIM/HASP ), then the codes ( convertors etc )
If not available, it will not load those modules

More than likely, the SIM is not seated fully or the USB port is not recognised by the PC

I think there is a nethasp utility in the mastercam folder on the start menu. Try that and see if the hasp shows up.

When you run the NetHasp utility (Nhasp X) , make sure it's set to "Nethasp" and "Network" (not local). Then click "Read". If anything shows up in the large window, you should be good to go.

But I'm thinking.... that if it didn't see the hasp, it would just report "Sim not found". So now I'm not sure that's the problem.
