I am just starting to use Mastercam ver X4 and with the excellent help of our reseller CimmTech here in Western WA have figured out how to correct the probl;ems of running on AMD 64 bit computers, but this weekend I hit something that I have never seen before. I have a Gateway MT6451 laptop with an AMD 64 bit CPU and a ATI 1150 Video Card. It was running with Vista Home 32 bit. On a whim I loaded MasterCam and after replacing the required .dll had Masteercam up and running. It ran pretty well, I replaced and maxed the RAM and it ran better. I am running between three shops right now so thought it would be veandy to take my MC work with me. Documentation does not recommend running MC with this OS so I bought Windows 7 Pro 64 bit OS and installed it with a "cold" install. Every thing seems to run well except MC. The graphics are greatly skewed. looking like the start right but then suddenly turn vertical (it is hard to tell because I can't reduce enough to see what is going on. I replaced drivers using VISTA 64 ATI drivers as recommended by some forums. Still no change, 1280x780 dpi is max and recommended for the LCD screen and this card under Win 7 Idea??? Thanks Lowell |

| Did you go to ATI and look for new drivers for win 7. Or did you let Win7 setup everything. it does do a good job but I still get factory drivers from the Card manufacture.

^^^ What he said. I had problems on my laptop at first and went through all the settings and this is what I had to change to get it to work right. |
