Newbie- pocketing with island

ok sounds simple. but im new to mastercam and am trying to use mastercamX.
so i want to surface the top of a 8*6" block and there is a 2"diameter boss of to one side of center. and 1" above p/l. total height
so i draw geometry at the top of the boss zlevel and .250 bigger per side than the main block. (8.5*6.5)(reason is to use a 1/2 tool and machine the whole surface as a pocket using the larger profile). ok so now i want to leave the boss as an island but there isnt anyway to pick it. how do i get to a point where it will ask me what island to pick. or what geometry to use for the island.
just thought it would be easy that way. for a fast rough program to get to the shop floor.
everything is drawn as a solid and i used a wireframe for the pocket.

Facing operations cannot do islands

Technically, an island can only exist inside another feature.

then a Pocket strategy should be used
1st contour is the outer wall, 2nd onwards are the islands ( all contours should be enclosed )

If you want the tool to overcut the stock ( similar to facing ), make the outer contour larger
