    Mastercam reducing program?

    Hello guys
    When i make programs for molds,programs are very big and the round surface is made by milion little lines(G1).Is there any option to make the toolpath more smooth with G2,G3 for smoler toolpath and better processing.

    Look for "filtering" in your toolpath operation, it will substitute arcs for lines, as long as the deviation from the line doesn't exceed your callout.

    I can't find it.There is no filter option in my toolpath operation

    WHAT VERSION OF MASTERCAM ARE YOU USING?

    Yes I'm yelling. I get tired of asking the same obvious question all the time. Toolpath Filter - It's called the same thing in V9 and In X. But I cant tell you which page it's on unless I know which version your running.

    Don't be nervous

    I'm running Mastercam X and i found filter only in 3D contour menu but in toolpaths like : Pocket,Parallel,Scallop and other surface toolpath can't find toolpath filter

    "Tolerance" is the button

    It is probably set to OFF
    a larger number gives bigger facets on the parts

    try 1:1
    It allows it to filter the on-screen path to fit arcs
    the numbers mean how far mcam can "adjust" the real on-screen path to be able to fit an arc
