Problem- MCX4 - toolpaths crossing each other while contouring?

Hi all

I want to cut a 2D contour toolpath in a very specific way. This unfortunately means the contour lines have to cross over each other.

I'm driving the center of the cutter with 'compensation type - off'
MCX4 takes the short cut. Is there a way/setting to make MC follow the profile as I have selected it?

The line end points are not at the intersection!

Manual chain will let you do that.

turn OFF the gouge checking, but also check the toolpath thoroughly that it is doing what you want it to do

PS, I may be incorrect, it should read "turn OFF the look ahead" , this allows a toolpath to cross itself like trying to trace the figure 8 without lifting

How do you manually select a chain that has no branch points?
I can't seem to find a way of deactivating the chaining.
