Checked the program and there it was, must have missed it when checked it before G0 Z- move then G0 Z2.0. Well my buddy was writing a program also and every time he used a G82 to drill the next tool change had the NEG Z move in it. My question is do others have the same glitch in there software with ver. X3. Also does it do it with the other drilling cycles too?
The reason that i've never run into this before is that i just graduated from CNC school and was working on 1 of there machines while looking for a job. This also seems to only happen on the DX-32 bridgeport mill. |
That is not a glitch in X3, the problem would be post configuration. Best thing would be to call your rep and have them correct the post or find some that has a known good post and use that. On the old machines you will have that problem and it is typical of all CAM software. You might want to check you absoulute/incremental settings on your depths that might have been problem.
Simplest way to find problems is small code snippets, play with the depths and post small easily understood programs using the toolpath type that is giving you a fit. |
