Need Help!- Mastercam Warning

I am getting an error when trying to toolpath a surface. Any type of roughing or finshing surface pass yield this warning.

Warning
Unable to extract (at least) one solid face.

Has anyone ever experienced this before (or know what it means)?

Hello, i have seen the problem that your having before. The real question is, are you trying to do a surface rough or surface finish operation using Surfaces or Solids? Solids will only work for a surface rough/finish toolpath. Unless you create your shape in surfaces and then convert it to solid using the solids menu, and "from surfaces" pick in the menu. It will then convert all your surfaces to solids, and this should enable you to sucessfully complete your tool-path. Hope this helps. If you are still having problems you can use the help menu in mastercam, and go to the reference guide. This may help too. -Walt

Thanks for the reply, I am currently using solidworks as my modeller and the part was converted to a solid before exporting to mastercam. It is odd because it has worked many times in the past.
