Mastercam for CNC Swiss machines

Just a simple question. Does Mastercam ever plan on releasing MATTS? I've been waiting for quite some time, and so far nothing. Anybody hear anything?

As long as there is a market and money to be make they will. No, I don't know when.

Y wait for them since you can check out many other brand that already have it. Like Delcam.

From what I was told from my reseller CNC software has no intentions on getting into the swiss turn market since delcam has it.I think this unfortunate cause mastercam has good software and i would hate to have to use 2 different cam softwares.

Back late in the X2 life cycle, I was convinced by my Mastercam reseller that they were going to be releasing their version of MTM software during the X3 life cycle.
Hell one of the tech guys was showing his demo release given to the resellers I was told how great this was going to be and what it was going to do to help program our Tusgami, 2 Deco Tornos's & Mazak hyperquadrax and others to add
Having a long history with Mastercam I jumped full in and spent big $$$$$$$$$'s changing over to 2 full blown seats of Mastercam.

Well X5 is in final testing, and last I heard Mastercam has scrapped the entire project, and has gone back to the drawing board on this item.
I was told that what they had released to the dealers was a really good looking video game ( if swiss style is how you like to play them ), but the product could not do much more.
As we all know we make our money with turning spindles & making chips, not having a cool path on our computer screens.

I hope CNC software gets there act together, because I have not been very impressed with their HSM pack and all the bugs that com with it.
They will soon be losing a notch they had controlled for so many years

SORRY FOR THE RANT

This is so untrue in all ways.

Well X5 is in final testing,
So you know we have not started final testing just yet on X5. your Rant about Mill Turn is felt by many including myself. I know there are a hole new crew of software writers at CNC working hard on it to get it right as this has become a hug issue in the industry as MillTurn has become a huge offering buy all machine manufactures.

No offense meant but I think SurfCam is a much better product than mastercam. But thats just my opinion. And so is Delcam for that matter.....
