Hi All, I hope that what I am about to ask is not totally stupid, but here is what I am trying to do: I have a part, which I want to cut say 8 times. This part will be made out of the same sheet of material (1/8 aluminum). Now, it is simply a 2D cut, and I have also created a .dwg file, that basically has the parts laid out on the sheet, of 12x24 material (eight in total). What I want to do, is to create a profile cut, to say cut the first part, then translate the SAME tool path to a point on the second part (as an origin) to cut that part, then on to the third etc..... In other words, I want to keep cutting the same countours, but only after I re-position (translate) for the other origin position of the piece, with out having to re-create or choose the geometry over again (since it is the same tool-path, just in a different spot). Any easy way to achieve this with WCS and off set numbers in Mastercam X3? Have tried all sorts of combinations, but I keep failing at doing this...and I am sure I am overlooking something simple.... thank you in advance for any suggestions....

| The easiest way to do this is with the transform function. You do not need to declare new work offsets (unless you really want to). Attached is a VERY simple example of 8 profiles in one sheet in MC9 format. P.S. NEVER be afraid to ask a "stupid question" here. Every person here has asked the same question (and others) before. This is what we are here for, to help others with the problems we have already solved in the past

| Thanks! That makes PERFECT sense, and works like a charm! I knew it was something obvious I was overlooking....that translate tool path is AWESOME! and a real time saver... Thanks for taking the time to illustrate it so well! Much Appreciated!
