It says in the help file "Allow negative Z motion along a surface" Deselect this tool if using a tool that does not cut upward... Which tool cannot cut upward or downward ?
Don't all tools do both ?
Suppose you were an idiot and suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself.

Can someone give me a bit more of examples ?
I appologize in advance, but I see this all the time. If you don't know what kind of tools Shotout is talking about then you probably should not be programing. Nothing to you personally and I have nothing against people learning new things, but learn general machining concepts and tooling, then setup, speeds/feeds, gcode, then maybe programming. I see people skipping vital steps to get to the top of the chain just to fall flat on unemployment. Just remember, just because you can use a CAM system does not mean you can program a CNC! Sorry for the ranting and raving... but anouther example would be a saw mill. it can only cut horizontaly (X & Y) NOT verticaly (Z).
