    South Bend Lathe Chuck

I finally got power (Phase a Matic people are nice!) to my South Bend 10K benchtop manual lathe. Then discovered that the chuck jaws don't seem to reverse to grab big parts like a master jaw/top jaw setup I'm familiar with?

What am I missing here? do these jaws reverse? The teeth on the back of the jaws don't seem to allow that but here must be a way to grab big (5" dia parts!

    Thanks

Many small chucks do not have reversable top jaws.
There should be 2 sets of jaws.

You could check here to see if you can get the second set.
