    Lots of ideas Little knowledge

Here I am again. So many ideas floating around in my head. Can a rotary table by made using a worm gear and screw as a drive mechanism?
And why are most tables at 90-1 ratio? I have a small Grizzly table, but the hand wheel is not very substantial. I think they could have at least supplied metal studs for turning the knob. Mine has very flexible soft plastic ones, bummer.

Actually, most rotary tables do use a worm/worm wheel assembly to turn the table. Dividing heads often use gears.

    Some use 40:1.
