    S-350-24 Output issues

    Hi all,

First of all, hello every one. I finally jumped in with an hybrid cnc which I should mainly use for woodworking, plexy and will probably do some alu eventually. The built is pretty much done with only the screws to install.

But in the mean while I started working on the electronic part this evening. So I plug my brand new S-350-24 power supply and I only get 14.78v to my surprize! 24v is supposed to be coming out.

    Something like this: http://www.interinar.com/public_docs/S-350-24.pdf

I tried the voltage screw adjustment but nothing there. There is on the side the 220-115V switch which is on the correct 115v side. (not too sure what would happen if I try to move it to the 220v if somebody know...)

So I would like to know if someone has an idea, please say. Also I am not too sure if I can continue ahead with the wiring of my board with integrated drivers even if it is 14v?

    Thanks for any advice.

    Base

Well, I had to do what I had to do. After discussion with the seller, they let me open the PSU myselft so I could have a look inside to see if the problem was apparent.

I pretty much found out what the problem was after a few minutes of observation.

The "donut" pressed against 2 resistors and broke one of the leg off, probably bacause of the lid. I did a simple fix and last night I tested it with the board and the motors and everything is A1.

So the next step is to mount the motors and start wiring everything.

Hope this will help the next one.
